Merry Christmas! The town of Milwaukee is giving its citizens a very special treat - cheese covered streets. May your holiday be just as blessed. Pouring Cheese on Icy Roads in (Where Else?) Wisconsin
When my friend Madeline brought over a huge bag of apples, I decided to spend my weekend turning them into delicious things. Thanks to my Facebook friends for genius suggestions including, “Make apple slaw”, “Learn to juggle”, and “Poison them and hand them to unsuspecting princesses”. I didn’t use any of those brilliant ideas, but here’s what I did instead: Roasted Butternut Squash Apple Soup with Challah Croutons
Apple and Cheddar Quick Bread
Pan Seared Chicken with Apple and Sage
In a new weekly feature I like to call WTF Fridays, here’s a product that should have never been made:
Chuck E Cheese is great for terrifying animatronic rats, impossibly expensive 2500-ticket Justin Bieber dolls, and tiny rides for small children (and apparently not adults because they yell at you if you try to ride them. Rude.).
I don’t think anyone has ever left a Chuck E Cheese and thought, “Man that pizza was top notch! I wish I could recreate it at home!”
Know your strengths, Charles. Food isn’t one of them.
What about Milk? Table is a good name, too.
Listen. I’m all in favor of finding new ways to honor cheese. But, no.
Go home parents naming your kid Cheese, you’re drunk.
Still good, even in miniature slider form. Enjoy your Dreidel Downs on this glorious Thanksgivukkah!
